The Western Cape Community Safety
MEC Dan Plato has called on National Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa to provide
answers on the serious allegations against Western Cape Commissioner Arno Lamoer.
This comes after on-going media
reports and new revelations that raise serious questions about the police’s
relationship with a Cape Town
businessman.
Plato`s Spokesperson Greg
Wagner said Minister Mthethwa needs to urgently
respond.
“Minister Plato said the national
minister must assure the people of the Western Cape that the investigation
into the provinces cops will be fast tracked so that any necessary action can
be taken, should any wrong doing be found,” Wagner added.
