MEC Carlisle defends CTICC design tender

Western Cape MEC of Transport and Public Works Robin Carlisle has defended the decision by the Cape Town International Convention Centre management not to cancel the tender for the redesign. 

This as the city found that the awarding of the tender for the expansion and was irregular. 

Ministerial Spokesperson Sipheshile Dube said claims made by an ANC MP about irregularities and corruption about the tender was not true. 

“Some of the claims that were made which were untrue and unfounded related to matters that were investigated by the Public Protector already deemed the Dior to be legal and above board,” Dube added.
