12 suspects arrested for stealing counterfeit clothes

The Commercial Crime Unit of the Hawks in Limpopo and Gauteng embarked on a two day intelligence driven sting operation.

The aim of these operations was to clean out counterfeit clothes from retail shelves.

Hawks Spokesperson Paul Ramaloko said we arrested in total twelve suspects who were later released on warning so they agreed to help us arrest the supplier of this counterfeit clothes.

Ramaloko said the growing industry of counterfeit goods is a very serious problem and our investigations are underway.
