A man was
this morning hit by a car between Republic and Malibongwe road intersection in Johannesburg

paramedics arrived on the scene they found that bystanders were offering
assistance to the pedestrian.

Spokesperson Russel Meiring said paramedics found that the man was seriously
injured and the witnesses say the man was collecting rubbish on the street when
the accident happened.
He added
that an ER24 Medic helicopter was called to airlift the patient to a nearby
hospital.
