Cape Chamber disappointed by Commission for Employment Equity report

The Cape Chamber of Commerce today said it is disappointed by the 14th report of the Commission for Employment Equity.

President of the Chamber Janine Myburgh said the report will do little to promote the real development of the country’s human resources.

Myburgh said we get the impression that the Commission is looking at the incorrect things what we should really be looking at is the future and how to bring on and develop the next generation of managers.

"The report itself was sloppy and was not properly checked this could be seen in the highlights which contain two versions of the same paragraph while another paragraph was simply repeated" Myburgh added.

Myburgh said clearly something is wrong but the Commission seems to be more concerned about race and numbers than rather trying to understand the current situation in workplace.
