A man rescued by the National Sea Rescue Institute at Oyster Bay

A 62-year-old man was rescued by the National Sea Rescue Institute when his yacht run aground at Oyster Bay. 

The man identified as Darren Hasen was sailing from Mossel Bay to Port Elizabeth when he was caught up in a storm. 

The 62-year-old managed to swim to safety but his yacht run aground. 

NSRI Spokesperson Craig Lambinon said the man was found in the beach and had left his yacht and his yacht was found ashore.

He added that the man is safe and is in the care of the paramedics.
