Andile Mbanjwa 17 May 2014

The “bring back our girls” campaign which aims to call on for the emancipation of 200 kidnapped school girls in Nigeria is getting more support from thousands of people around the world.

On Friday the ANC Western Cape Women’s League gathered at St Georges Cathedral in Cape Town to call on for the Islamic militants group, Boko Haram responsible of kidnaping more than 200 girls from their school in Nigeria to release the girls.

ANC Western Cape Women’s League convener, Zodwa Magwaza says they have sent a convoy to the Nigerian government to seek rescue efforts on how they can rescue the girls.

“We are here to add onto the world that these girls must be brought back by the group, Boko Haram. Bring back our innocent girls. Those girls have a lot more to do in the world. They are going to be leaders of tomorrow. They need to release them. Innocent kids have nothing to do with the war or with whatever. They must bring back those kids,” Magwaza said.
