The Opposition to Urban Tolling Alliance has called
for the South African National Roads Agency Limited to clarify
prosecution.
This as Outa has reason to believe that Sanral is
planning to have the prosecuting authorities to issue summons to a handful of
violators who have not paid their e-toll bills.
Outa Spokesperson John Clarke said they welcome the
announcement by the new Gauteng Premier David Makhura that a special panel to
review the impact on e-tolls on the province will be established.
Clarke said Sanral has not played ball by following the rules they
have used hook crook spook methods to intimidate motorists.
"Outa is very keen to continue playing in the space to
actually try and turn this thing around.” Clarke added
