City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security JP Smith said the city has identified dumping and littering as problems that are plaguing communities.

Smith was today in Langa handing out pamphlets to residents in Langa about the serious problem of dumping and littering.

He added that Langa had one of the worst damping sites in the whole city.

Smith said council can’t keep cleaning up as we walked in an area where there was dumping but the council cleaned it up.

“Today we noticed two piles of dumping in the same area the council initially cleaned up the previous dump Smith added.
