The African National Congress has confirmed that the party’s spokesperson and MP Jackson Mthembu is out of danger.  This is after he was shot and wounded on Sunday in Witbank, Mpumalanga.

It is believed that Mthembu was shot while he was using the ATM at the mall.

ANC’s Keith Khoza said criminality of any form should never be tolerated and those responsible must be brought to book.

Khoza said Mthembu is still in the Intensive Care Unit under medical observation, but he is out of danger.

“The ANC is calling on the police to act swiftly and apprehend anybody who is responsible for this act of criminality” Khoza added.
