Nehawu calls on Gauteng Premier and MEC for Health to intervene at Bara hospital

National Education Health and Allied Workers Union has condemned the stabbing incident at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and calls on the Premier David Makhura and the MEC for Health to intervene.

Nehawu Media Liaison Officer Sizwe Pamla send condolences to the family of the deceased security guard and call on on the law enforncement agencies to arrest and prosecute the perpetrator.

“This is a very tragic incident indeed but it also collaborates with our story of poor secutiry in public hospitals and the dangers of outsourcing.

We will this week continue with the demonstration, demanding the termination of the existing security contract.” Pamla added.
