Delft residents and businesses brace themselves to have received a massive boost due to the launch of free public Wi Fi in 25 hot spots.

Western Cape MEC of Economic Opportunities said this means that there’s more opportunities for education, more opportunities for businesses to start up.

Winde said this is part of the pilot project linked to our major programme where we roll out broadband across the whole province and we will be monitoring this Delft site closely. There’s about 100 000 who now have access to free Wi Fi

As part of the programme, users will be able to access a limited daily allocation of 25 MB of free internet for use on any online activity, except adult content.
