Two suspects aged 25 and 28-years old have been arrested in Mahikeng on charges of business robbery and illegal possession of firearms.

The suspects were arrested following reports of a business robbery in a village in Seweding.

Sergeant Kealeboga Molale said when they arrived on the scene the members were shown the footprints of the suspects and the members followed the prints which led them to a house in Ramosadi village.

Molale said the suspects tried to flee the scene when they saw police but they were arrested in the yard. The suspects were then searched and police found two firearms and ten ammunition in their possession.

“Police then continued a search inside the house where the suspects were found and a video camera that was taken during the robbery was found. Police seized clothes, four cellphones and a television that was suspected to be stolen” Molale added.
