Three suspects aged
19 and 22-years-old appeared in the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate Court
The arrest follows
the Mitchell’s Plain Cluster intense focus on gangsterism and drugs in the
area.
The three suspects
were arrested following a search of their car in Botha Street
Captain FC van Wyk
said the members spotted the suspects driving in a Nissan LDV in the street and
they subsequently searched the vehicle and discovered the firearm and
ammunition inside the vehicle
Van Wyk added that the
members confiscated a 38 calibre revolver with 10 live rounds while doing a
crime prevention patrol in the area.
