The Department of Education in Limpopo has strongly condemned the destruction of public properties following the burning of schools in and around the Malamuela area.

A block of a school including a library at a village in Xigalo village on Wednesday morning.

The provincial department has called for an immediate investigation into the matter and those found guilty to receive the full might of the law.

The Departments Paena Galane said: “We want to believe that this is not in any way related to the past shut down that we had in Malamulele as everything was done in accordance with the agreement of the community.”

“And therefore this cannot be and should not be linked to the situation in Malamulele but will be treated as a powerdized criminal activity.” Galane continued.
