A 22-year-old arrested in Woodstock for being in possession of drugs

Woodstock police arrested a 22-year-old suspect on Thursday for dealing and being in possession of drugs.

The suspects was arrested during a Crime Intelligence driven operation whereby police searched a premises in Westminster Road, Salt River.

Sergeant Hilton Malila said upon the entrance of the premises police searched one of the bedrooms and confiscated 18 tik lollies, 22 ecstasy tablets,  2 plastic packets  filled with ecstasy powder, 31 grams of tik, various, 10 grams of cocaine powder and  substantial amount of cash that was hidden amongst various clothing inside the room.

Malila added that the estimated street value of the confiscation is undisclosed at this stage. The 22 year old, suspect will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate Court on Monday.
