The African National Congress in the Western Cape said it is concerned about the disruption of teaching at Scottsdene Secondary School in Kraaifontein.

In April of this year, the first phase of the construction of the new school building was completed; however, community members are stating that the school has structural engineering problems.

ANC’s Theo Olivier said (their) major concern basically is that (they) have got a week of learners being disrupted of learning as to whether there’s alternative or not, the basic issues that these learners was disrupted because they have to adapt in a new environment and had to be placed somewhere else.

Olivire added that our concern is the fact that learning time got delayed.
