On Sunday night Netcare 911
paramedics responded to a bakkie that crashed into tree along Hettie Smith
Street, Bloemfontein. Exact details to the cause is still speculative and will
form part of the South African Police investigation.
“Paramedics
arrived at the scene and found that the vehicle had veered off the roadway and collided
into a tree, a female driver was found in the vehicle with serious injuries,
medics stabilised her at the scene before they transported the patient to a
local hospital for the care that she required”, said Chris Botha.
Meanwhile… this morning
Netcare 911 paramedics received a call for a man that had fallen from a height
in Tarleton, Krugersdorp. Reports from the scene indicate that the man was
standing on a crate to drill a hole into a wall, the crate collapsed causing
the man to fall to the ground and land on the drill.
“Netcare
911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the drill bit had lodged
into the chest of the sixty-six-year old man leaving him in a critical condition,
paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the man at the scene before they airlifted
him with the Netcare one medical helicopter to a specialised facility in
Johannesburg for further care” He concluded.
