Chairperson of Cape Peninsula University of Technology’s Council Mbulelo Bikwani, said Vice Chancellor Prins Nevhutalu is in the clear after students levelled a raft of allegations against him.
The claims, brought to light
by students affiliated to the Fees Must Fall movement, include allegations of
sexual harassment and corruption.
Bikwani said an independent
legal team was appointed to probe the matter.
They said to the students if
you’re making allegations against the Vice Chancellor, bring every piece of
evidence you have and put it in front of the legal team.”
But he said they found no
substance to back up several of the allegations.
Bikwani said the team found a
lack of evidence to support most of the claims.
