The South African Transport & Allied Workers’ Union conveys heartfelt condolences to the family of the bus driver who died in head-on collision with another bus in Kwamhlanga, Mpumalanga early yesterday morning.

The driver of the bus transporting passengers from Vaalbank to Pretoria tried to avoid hitting a stationary mini-truck and changed lanes.

We would like to urge all transport stakeholders to ensure that we bring down death toll on our roads. Especially since we approaching Easter break and we hoping that our road users will stay calm and collected”, said Zanele Sabela of the SATAWU.
