In a statement the Democratic
Alliance says it notes the report of Corruption Watch released yesterday, which
found schools to be the biggest corruption hotspots of 2015.
In its report, among its
finding Corruption watch found, specifically that in all cases investigated by Corruption Watch, the school principal was found to be the main culprit in acts
of corruption.
DA’s Shadow Minister of Basic
Education Gavin Davis explains says “The DA is been calling for Minister
Motshekga to release the jobs for cash report which is going to show systematic
corruption by Sadtu members and officials”.
He adds that “ the Corruption
Watch report highlights the urgency for the jobs for cash report to be released
immediately so we can move forward and deal with this corruption in our school
system”.
