DA says it is impressed with road death decrease

In a statement, the Democratic Alliance says it welcomes the 46% year-on year decrease of road deaths for the Easter Weekend period, as compared to the same period for 2015. Luvuyo Dlangisa, spokesperson said

The Democratic Alliance says it welcomes the 46% year-on year decrease of road deaths for the Easter Weekend period, as compared to the same period for 2015.

"Furthermore we thank motorists and traffic law enforcement alike for their efforts in this holiday season to reduce the carnage on the roads and ensuring that South African’s are safer." Dlangisa adds.

 He concluded that "Going forward the true test will be for Minister Peters and her department to sustain the decrease of road deaths as previous cases have shown the number of road deaths remained high in periods surrounding holidays.”
