South Africa: Two Foreign Nationals Arrested for Being in Possession of Illegal Firearm and Ammunition in Phillipi East

On Wednesday (20/07/2016) at about 16:10, Phillipi East police members followed up on information provided by community members which led to the arrest of two foreign national men for the illegal possession of firearm and live ammunition.

Members arrested these two suspects in Sinqolamthi Lower Cross after searching their room and finding a Norinco firearm, seven rounds of ammunition and one magazine.

They are due to appear in Athlone Magistrate Court today on a charge of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
