Thulsie brothers back in court

The two brothers accused of plotting attacks on US and Jewish interests in Johannesburg will be back in court this morning.

Their lawyers are to argue their arrest was unlawful. Brandon-Lee and Tony-Lee Thulsie stand accused of planning to set off bombs at an American Diplomatic Mission and Jewish institutions.

In sworn affidavits, the Thulsie twins say the State has failed to make a proper case against them and that prosecutors have refused to supply them with the details of the charges they face.

It’s emerged the police were expecting to find components to make bombs and suicide vests during raids at their homes, but what they did find was cell phones, sim cards, hand written notes and other documents.
