State to call first witness in Panayiotou case

The State will today call its first witness in the Panayiotou murder case in the High Court in Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape.

It will call one of Christopher Panayiotou's deceased wife Jayde's closest friends and colleague at Riebeck Girls college.

Jayde Panayiotou was kidnapped and killed last year in April.  The three accused in the murder case, Panayiotou, Zolani Sibeko and Sinethemba Nenembe, have pleaded not guilty to all charges, which include murder, conspiracy to murder and kidnapping.


Panayiotou is said to be the mastermind behind the killing.
