life from birth to death. In an effort to ease your trip, we thought we’d
publish the cost of applying for your ID document for the 2019/2020 financial
year.
Issuing the Identity Document for the first time is Free.
Re-issuing Identity Documents cost R140.00
Provided that the re-issuing of IDs is free of charge in
those cases where the forename is repeated as a surname on IDs and when a new
ID is issued to a former TBVC-citizen to replace his old South African ID,
classifying him as a non-South African citizen.
Temporary Identity Certificate cost R70.00
