Six people killed in Khayelitsha after gunmen stormed their house

Six men have been shot and killed in Khayelitsha on Saturday evening. According to the police, three gunmen stormed into a home in the PJS informal settlement and opened fire.

The Police's Novela Potelwa said that it's alleged that the victims were at a friend's home at PJS informal settlement when the incident happened. Five of the men died at the scene while two others were seriously wounded. Later the sixth victim died in hospital.

The two wounded men were rushed to a medical facility where one of them later died. The motive of the shooting is yet to be determined. The case is under investigation and authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspects.

Potelwa said that provincial detectives are pursuing several leads as part of an investigation.
