The Police Ministry investigates murders and threats that happened at Fort Hare University

 The Police Ministry of Eastern Cape have assured management in Fort Hare University that they are investigating the recent violent and fatal attacks that have been happening in the university. They are promising to find the suspects responsible for the attacks that happened on the university staff and killing two people.

Minister of Police Bheki Cele, Deputy Minister of State Security Zizi Kodwa and the National Commissioner of the SAPS, Fannie Masemola visited the Eastern Cape to investigate the threats on lives of the staff members of the institution and the murder of Mboneni Vesele, killed over the weekend. The victim was a protector and driver of the university Vice Chancellor, Sakhela Buhlungu.

This investigation will include Petrus Roets, who was fatally shot in March last year. According to Cele, the local police are not working fast enough in making arrests.
