A 23-year-old woman briefly appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate Court on Thursday, for her alleged involvement in an online dating scam. This follows her arrest by the Hawks the same day.
The Hawk’s Siyabulela Vukubi said Karabo Alexandra Moses
was arrested after a complaint was lodged to the Hawks and revealed that an
amount of R750 000 was deposited into her bank account by the complainant.

his arrest in June 2022,’’ said Lt. Gen. Siyabulela Vukubi.
Moses is expected to join her co accused Pius Emokpe on 28
September 2023 at the Bellville Specialised Commercial Crime Court where they
will both appear.
