Two suspects were arrested in Mitchells Plain on Saturday, for being in possession of drugs. This comes after the members of Operation Restore deployed in Mitchells Plain conducted operations to combat crime in the area.
The police searched a premises in Platteklip Street and
confiscated a consignment of drugs.
“In an unrelated intervention Robertson police were
conducting patrols in the early hours of Sunday, when they responded to
information. The members proceeded to an address in Nqubela and searched the
premises. They recovered drugs hidden in the room and arrested two adult males on
a charge of dealing in drugs” said Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Joseph
Swartbooi.
He added that the suspects will appear in the Mitchells
Plain and Robertson Magistrate’s Court once charged.
