Four suspected criminals have
been shot and killed in a shootout with police in Harding, Kwa-Zulu Natal.
It alleged that the group robbed
a businessman who had come from the bank.
This marks another deadly
shootout involving the police and suspected criminals in the province.
This was an intelligence-driven
operation where the police had received a tipoff about a planned robbery at a
mall in the Harding area, and just after the robbery took place, police acted
in a bid to arrest the four suspects.
“The suspects refused orders and opened fire
at the police,” said police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda.
