A tragic shooting incident claimed the lives of two adults and left two children wounded.
Picture by: PixabayThe victims were attacked on Saturday in Marikana, an
informal settlement in Philippi. Police have not yet discovered the motive
behind the shooting.
Police spokesperson, Wesley Twigg disclosed
that the youngest victim injured was six years old.
“Police members attended to the crime scene, where
they found the victims with gunshot wound to their bodies. The 46-year-old and
28-year-old victims were declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel,
while the two boys were taken to a medical facility for medical treatment,”
said Twigg.
There has been no arrests made as of yet.
