According to police, officers
attended to a crime scene in Adderley Street, at about 13:10.
‘’Upon arrival on the
scene they found two males 39 and 38 who sustained gunshot wounds. The 39 year
old victim who sustained a gunshot wound to his shoulder was transported to a
medical facility for treatment, while the other victim who sustained a flesh
wound received treatment on scene. According to reports the victims were approached
by two assailants who opened fire on them and fled the scene in a IVECO panel
van. The motive for the attack is yet to be determined,’’ said Sergeant Wesley
Twigg, Western Cape police spokesperson
Attempted murder cases
were registered for investigation.
