Western Cape Government Cabinet and Premier’s Coordinating Forum welcomes classification of severe weather as disaster

The Western Cape Government Cabinet and Premier’s Coordinating Forum has met to ensure ongoing collaboration in dealing with impacts of severe weather

An extended Western Cape Government Cabinet and Premier’s Coordinating Forum meeting was held last night to ensure continued coordination around the response to the adverse weather conditions that have impacted multiple parts of the province.

According to the department, the Provincial Disaster Management Centre and all Joint Operating Centres have remained activated around the clock.

The Cabinet and the PCF welcomed the classification of the severe weather as a disaster. Cabinet and the PCF extended their heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the three people who have died as a result of the latest inclement weather.
