Man arrested in connection with murder of journalist
Durban police have confirmed that a 28-year-old man has been arrested in connection with last week’s murder of journalist Arumana Rajar. Spokesperson Phindile Radebe says the arrest was made in Kwa-Mashu on Monday morning. Rajar was shot in her car when two armed men approached her vehicle in Overport on Thursday. The men then dumped her body and drove off in her car. Police recovered the vehicle later the same day. Rajar worked as a journalist for Independent Newspapers in Durban.
