Zuma testifies about his relationship with his accuser

Jacob Zuma has denied that he ever had a father-daughter relationship with his rape accuser. Zuma is the first defence witness in his rape trial in the Johannesburg High Court. He also testified that he would never discuss sex with his daughters or a woman of the age of the accuser. This directly contradicts the evidence of the complainant. She says Zuma came to take the place of her father, who died in a car crash. Eyewitness News reports that Zuma testified that he never discussed lobola arrangements with her as that would not be his place. She had testified that he would be involved in such talks if a man proposed to her.

Earlier Zuma said it was common knowledge that former National Prosecuting Authority head Bulelani Ngcuka was against him as he had asked newspapers editors to help stop him becoming the country’s next president. He says Intelligence Minister Ronnie Kasrils was also part of an anti-Zuma faction.
