A pastor who says he was expelled from a theological college in Vereeniging after Jacob Zuma’s rape accuser said he had raped her, testified in the Johannesburg High Court on Monday morning. The pastor, Sithembile Masoka, said he had not touched her. Zuma also denies raping the 31-year-old HIV-positive woman. According to Eyewitness News, the pastor said he and a friend visited the woman in 1995. He said after she had rejected his advances, he and his friend left her home. He said he had been accused of rape the next day and expelled from the college without giving his side of the story.
Earlier Monday another man testified that he did not try to rape Zuma’s rape accuser in Lusaka in Zambia in 1988. Mashaya Mncube said she had come to his house of her own volition when she was a teenager. The men are supporting the defence’s claim that the woman has made false rape allegations in the past.
