Police bust an international human-traffic ring

South African and British police have smashed an international human traffic-ring. Arrests were made simultaneously in Durban, Kempton Park and the United Kingdom after investigation that lasted two years. Gauteng police say a man and his wife, ten illegal immigrants and two so-called facilitators were arrested in South Africa. The illegal immigrants were from India and Pakistan. It is believed that the husband is the leader of a syndicate that operates between Africa, Asia and Europe. In the UK British police arrested 19 individuals and 20 illegal immigrants. The four South Africans will appear in Kempton Park magistrate's court on charges of facilitating human smuggling, while in the UK the individuals arrested will appear on charges of conspiracy to facilitate human trafficking.
