Repair to Koeberg well on track
Eskom says its plans to repair the fault at the Koeberg nuclear plant in Cape Town are on track. The work is expected to be completed in time for the planned full service delivery in mid-May. This was the message Eskom sent in a letter to the Port Elizabeth Regional Chamber of Commerce on Friday. The Herald reports Eskom’s customer services’ manager in Port Elizabeth Rob Stone as saying the transportation of the crucial replacement rotor is going according to plan. Eskom will be using two 440-ton cranes to lift the rotor from the supply ship SAS Drakensberg.
