Second arrest made in Franschhoek hostage drama
Police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the Franschhoek hostage drama that took place over the weekend. The first suspect, who was arrested on Sunday night, appeared briefly in the Paarl Magistrate’s court on Tuesday. His case was postponed until April 24 for further investigation. The second suspect, a 20-year-old male was arrested in Brooklyn late on Monday night. Police spokesperson Captain Randall Stoffels says the suspect will appear in the Paarl Magistrate's Court on Thursday March 12 on charges of attempted robbery.
