Zuma testifies about lobola
Former deputy president Jacob Zuma says he would have had his cows ready if the woman who has accused him of rape had said she wanted to marry him. Zuma said in the Johannesburg High Court today that he would not have had any part in marriage negotiations, but that this would be done by what he termed two aunts. Zuma was giving evidence in the trial in which he has been accused of raping a HIV-positive woman. The woman alleges he raped her in November last year. Zuma claims they had consensual sex after she sent out what he said were certain signals.
