Boeremag escapees still on the run
By late last on Wednesday night the two Boeremag suspects who are on trial for treason and who escaped from the Pretoria High Court yesterday, were still at large. The men escaped during the lunch interval of their trial despite heavy security at the court. One of them, Herman van Rooyen, is reported to be the man with the money behind the alleged plot to over through the government. Van Rooyen apparently has access to an inheritance of some 40-million rands. The other escapee is Rudi Gouws. They face 42 charges including treason, terrorism and sabotage.
