The MEC for housing in the Western Cape Bonginkosi Mandikizela held a press briefing regarding the land that was transferred to the national government by the ANC led government.

Addressing the media Madikizela said that another land deal was struck between the previous provincial administration and an agency of the national government two days prior to Premier-elect assuming officer on the 04 May 2009.

Madikizela says the transfer of the land that could have been used to build houses was used to undermine the Democratic Alliance led government.

''We are fully committed to the principle of co-operative governance but we will not sit back and watch the ANC rule from the grave in the Western Cape."
