The stormy weather and strong winds seem to have subsided for the time being, but the weather bureau has warned that more heavy rainfall can be expected in weeks to come.
Meanwhile, the City’s emergency services task teams are confident that they are prepared for the rainy season.
“If anything happens, Disaster Management is always ready and we have a plan for any eventuality,” said Disaster Risk Management spokesperson Charlotte Powell.
