After delivering his first State of the Nation Address as the president of the Republic of South Africa, a number of political parties had mixed feeling about Jacob Zuma’s speech as some felt that he did not address all of the issues that affect South Africans on a day to day basis, where others said he did a good job.
Bush Radio reporter Yamkela Xhaso attended the Sate of the Nation Address and spoke to different Members of Parliament and found out what they thought of Zuma’s speech.
Cope presidential candidate Dr Mvume Dandala said that Zuma did not mention the issue of many educated but unemployed youth in South Africa.
Azapo president Mosibudi Mangena said that Zuma knows the reality South Africans face and made a great effort to address the different problems that we face.
African Christian Democratic Party leader Reverend Kenneth Meshoe that he thought that it was a well balanced speech and that raised hopes that service delivery will improve.
Patricia De Lille, leader of the Independent Democrats said that even though she was satisfied with Zuma’s speech, there were still areas of concern.
