Mpumalanga police say six more matric pupils have been arrested for their role in leaking matric examination papers in the province.

Spokesperson Leonard Hlathi says the six appeared in court today, along with 13 other suspects previously arrested over the scandal.

Of the 19 people arrested so far for leaking exam papers, 15 are learners, one is a teacher, one a prison warder, and one a typist at the provincial department of education.

Hlathi says more arrests are expected to be made.
