Four scholars sustained injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in crashed into a bus in Kuils River.
Inspector Chrisna Van Lille said the children had been travelling with their father in the direction of Stellenbosch, when he was allegedly blinded by the sun and did not see the bus.
Two of the children sustained facial injuries, while the other two younger children sustained slight injuries.
The father injured his left arm.
The bus driver was left unscathed.
