A bakkie that overturned on the R45 direction Franshoek this afternoon has left one person dead.
It is alleged that the bakkie lost control and rolled, ejecting all 7 occupants from the vehicle.
The deceased died on the scene.
Six victims have been transported to the nearest provincial hospital.
ER24 says the ultimate cause of the accident is as yet not known, but an investigation will be conducted into the matter.
