Woman arrested for possession of illegal substance

A woman was arrested for the possession of illegal substance after she was caught with drugs in the CBD today.
The suspect was arrested after she was spotted by a Metro Police’s CCTV camera on the corners of Hout and Loop streets.
Metro Police Deputy Chief Yolanda Faro says the camera was focussed on the five females who were moving towards a white BMW and Fiat Uno that were parked on the area.
Faro says they immediately alerted the police.
“On arrival they searched the vehicles and females. Various forms of drugs ranging from cocaine, dagga and crystal meth were found on one of the suspects,” she said.
