Johannesburg Mayor Amos Masondo has announced that residents with billing queries will receive discounts.
This comes after the city has been hit hard by the billing crisis in the city where many have been incorrectly billed.
The list of queries is long with people whose quires are three- and 12-months will receive a 25-percent discount, while queries older than 12-months will receive a 50-percent discount.
Chairperson of the Blairgowrie Community Association in Randburg, Linus Muller says he does not understand how a discount will improve the billing crisis.
